The Challenge

What the client provided

Complete had a platform that replaces spreadsheets for some of the biggest names in tech, from Roblox to Glean to Helion. But their sales deck looked like a first draft that never got a second pass. Placeholder text ("Logo") was still visible on the title slide, feature lists read like internal notes rather than selling points, and product screenshots sat small and unexplained on a purple background. The deck was being sent to enterprise prospects and co-branded with partners like Chime, which made every rough edge twice as visible.

Dots Solution

Made the product the proof

The original title slide told prospects what Complete does. The redesigned version shows them. A device mockup of the actual platform, displaying compensation bands filtered by location, job family, and tier, lets a prospect see the product working before they've even reached slide two.

Turned a feature list into a decision map

Five bullet points on a purple background all competed for attention equally. We broke each feature into its own labeled space with a supporting icon, arranged around a central platform statement. A VP of People can now scan the slide and immediately find the capability that matters to their specific pain point, whether that's scenario planning or audit trails.

Let the product screenshots sell use cases.

The original overview slide squeezed four tiny screenshots into a row with plain-text labels. We gave each screenshot room to breathe, framed them as real application windows, and paired them with clear category labels. Now a prospect can see exactly what "Hiring" or "Planning" looks like inside the platform before they ever book a demo.

Organized social proof by buying reason.

The partner logos slide had the right names but no organizing logic. We rebuilt it as a clean grid grouped by use case, so a prospect in fintech immediately sees Alchemy and Sardine, while someone evaluating comp cycles sees Whatnot and Coalition. The logos do the selling when they're grouped by relevance, not just listed.

The Results

What we have designed

Complete's deck now matches the sophistication of the enterprise clients it's pitching to. Every slide gives prospects a reason to keep going, whether it's seeing the product in action, finding the feature that solves their problem, or recognizing a peer company already using the platform. The co-branded title slide, designed for a prospect's logo alongside Complete's, feels intentional and high-touch rather than templated. This is the kind of deck that gets forwarded from the HR lead who saw the demo to the CFO who approves the budget.
